Curly Caterpillars

The Curly Caterpillars is a busy and popular group and all children are 

welcomed into this group whether joining from our Busy Bees (0-2's) room or starting nursery for the first time.

Individual needs are still important and flexibility 

enables us to ensure children are learning individually and as part of a small group.  We are here to help guide and advise through the next stages of development including behaviour, speech and language and toilet training. 

This group provides lots of opportunities to develop

and learn in a fun and stimulating way. Whilst 

learning through play we are able to extend children's knowledge and ensure new skills are learnt using their individual interests. 

The Curly Caterpillars have a room at the top of the building which includes a bathroom with nappy changing facilities and a quiet room.  The quiet room hosts a range of activities including -story and songs using props, wow bags and boxes, puppet play, puzzles and the firm favourite of music and dance. 

In the main part of the room the children can access mark making materials, Play-Doh, paints, small world play, role play kitchen, building blocks, sand and water. 

We have use of the large outdoor area that includes a small sensory garden including two rabbits and chickens as well as the Pirate ship playground.
