Busy Bees

In our Busy Bees room we aim to follow the child's routine from home. The Busy Bees have the freedom and flexibility to explore and investigate with a range of activities to help achieve and expand their developmental milestones. We have a large secure garden for the children to explore - and negotiate space, taking controlled risks (climbing sloped grass area and using the slides) and investigating the bugs and natural plants and flowers. We often see squirrels collecting acorns and small birds making nests. 

  Staff in the Busy Bees room create a warm home from home feeling for both parents and their children.

Our Busy Bees room is a large open space with two separate play areas. We have a cosy quiet area where our morning routine of singing and looking at books of interest takes place. The Busy Bees can lay on cushions, read books and explore sensory/treasure baskets, rattles and ICT toys. 

 We have a lovely big mirror (a firm favourite) with a bar for those who are beginning to pull themselves up on and cruise along. On the other side of the room we have our messy area. This is where we have various messy activities including- shaving foam/hair gel, paints, Play--Doh, sticking and explore with the sand and water trays. 

Just off from our messy area we have a nappy changing station and a small bedroom for the children to sleep in. In the cot room we have monitors and a window so we can check on any children sleeping
